Excellent location & value (for NYC).

Eugene 28 / 11 / 2018

It was great. The staff’s are great!! I would definely come back again. I like that the hotel had convient restaurants and a corner store to go to. The staff there are great especially the front desk and maid. Snacks in the lobby for guest to purchase. Would be also great if they put a tv in the main lounge/lobby area.

John 14 / 03 / 2018

Acceptable. Half the shower door was was not in the wasn't warm-no control system.

Verified 03 / 03 / 2018

Very good. It was adequate in size and comfort. Good location to Manhattan. I had to call front office for the air remote and despite the nice hotels in that area, the neighborhood didn't look safe.

Anonymous 21 / 11 / 2018

Good. The location was convenient, the room was tidy, the water pressure was strong, the staff was friendly. The bed was ok, but not super comfortable, the walls were thin.

Erlisa 29 / 04 / 2019

room was big and pleasant..but the staff.

Hyunjun 27 / 04 / 2019

Only value for money.

It was a decent night's stay. This hotel was fine. The staff was nice. I like that they had drinks available for purchase. The towels in the room were great! The rooms were very small - I felt very squished the entire time. The elevators were incredibly slow so we took the stairs most of the time, The room we were in (503) was right next door to a family with a child. It seemed like they were living in it. They were loud, the baby cried alot (especially early in the morning for over an hour), and played music really loud. The walls were paper thin - you could hear everything! The glass sliding door to the balcony was not sealed well so cold air came in and made our room cold. The curtains were way far away from the edge of the walls so lots of light came in and made the room really bright in the morning. The bed was fine but the pillows were terrible. They were filled with little foam squares and kind of wadded up. Very small pillows. It made for a bad nights sleep - pillows are very important to good nights sleep.

Acceptable. No parking at hotel and elevator not working my room was located on 4th floor. Just having back surgery it was difficult and there where no other rooms on lower floor. Stay 2 nights with no elevator was horrible. Waited 7 hours for towels.

Verified 27 / 02 / 2018

Very good. It was clean.

Anonymous 19 / 11 / 2018

Pleasant. Bed was comfortable Walls thin. Could hear other rooms. Balcony was tiny , view was a stretch.

Good location.

Saif 17 / 04 / 2019

Family hotel .

Anonymous 14 / 11 / 2018

Okay. The check out was very sketchy. I turned in my key and the man behind the counter asked me "cash or card?". I told him I already paid when I checked in, and he said "ok" then the transaction was over.

Verified 26 / 02 / 2018

Acceptable. The elevator was broken for the entire stay. They were dishonest about the bar and the fitness center. Heat was broken.

We enjoyed a lot. The hotel is good and the recepsionist is great

DONG-HAN 12 / 04 / 2019

Basically the location is convenient for a few days staying .

Jenny 28 / 03 / 2019

Could have been better.

Oliver 11 / 11 / 2018

BASIC. Basic room. Massively overpriced for what it was. Felt like I paid for a 4 star but got a 2 star.

Verified 17 / 02 / 2018

Very good. price and easy access to Manhattan walls thin. noisy guests

Kurt 08 / 02 / 2018

Acceptable. Location was great and an awesome view from the balcony. Also close to subway and trains. Most great spots to visit, like Times Square, were a 5-10 min uber away. The bed was comfortable, but everyone has to make the decision on comfort themselves. No temperature control. Very thin walls and housekeeping is very noisy in the morning. If you don't book a room with 2 beds you get a room as small as a closet. Non smoking hotel, and yet the smell of smoke is very strong sometimes.

Yuet 11 / 11 / 2018

basic, efficient, some great features, some disappointments. room is clean and well decorated. light blocking curtains worked well. bathroom is basic and well-maintained. the bed was wonderful comfortable and ample power outlets. basic efficient hotel for its price. checkin took 15 minutes even though i was the only person checking in. the hotel does not provide shampoo / conditioner and only has Dial soap and hand soap in all the dispensers. door / walls are thin and tough to sleep if you are a light sleeper. i could hear noise from the hallway and the room next door all night.

Excellent. Friendly staff for the most part and very clean nice room. Walls are really thin you can hear your neighbors in the rooms next to you.

Exceptional. service

First stay at Hotel Vetiver. The shower and restroom were large by NYC standards. The balcony was a nice surprise. The complimentary coffee was fresh and good. The desk staff was attentive and helpful. We chose this hotel in large part due to it's proximity to the 39th Av Metro train station. However that station was closed for repairs -- so the walk was much further to access the subway. Pillows were not comfortable to me.

Steven 13 / 03 / 2019

Dirty and not as advertised.

Marjorie 03 / 03 / 2019

It was ok.

Lauri 05 / 11 / 2018

Great value for the money.. Was able to drop off our bags 6 hours before checking so we could explore Manhattan. Subway was a short walk. Subway was under construction so took longer to get into the city. Also the curtains were very thin and let too much light in which woke us up.

Robert 05 / 02 / 2018

Acceptable. Location near the subway Yes; when I returned to the room the first night it was literally 40 degrees Fahrenheit inside. There is only a small heater/ac located near the window for a very large room; it is on the far side from the bathroom which never got warm

Verified 01 / 02 / 2018

Acceptable. Eh...not sure. This hotel was NOT a 3.5 star hotel. No restaurant, no iron, no hairdryer, no in-room coffee. It was a room to sleep in. Nothing more. Sliding door was broken and would not lock. Hotel staff did fix this huge security issue. Lots of marijuana smoking too.

Nina 04 / 11 / 2018

Disappointing. Location is 10 mins away from the subway station. Bed and pillows are quite comfortable. The neighborhood does not feel very safe and is very untidy. The bathroom needs renovation. Tiles are dirty. There is not even an exhaust fan in the toilet

Dewi 27 / 02 / 2019

Great, but not so clean and no fridge inside the room. .

Leon 21 / 02 / 2019

Ideally situated on Long Island City, across the East River, 1 minute walk to subway.! Great.!.

Luis 03 / 11 / 2018

Passable. The receptionist is the slowest guy I have ever seen. And not too polite either. Not sure if I want to come back.

Salvador 24 / 01 / 2018

Acceptable. Location Extremely rude staff $100 dólares deposit per room!!!

Ahmed 18 / 01 / 2018

Valerie 30 / 10 / 2018

Great staff, okay room.. I loved the friendly staff and that there were a few food options open late night/ 24hrs in the area I got the room with the balcony for my partner because he loves the view of the city, but the only thing we could see was into the other hotels/ buildings. Also didnt like the fact that they didnt have mini soaps and shampoos, there were just dispenser for soap and shampoo, but not even one with lotion. No microwave or mini fridge. The staff was great but the hotel room at least was a little disappointing.

Jay 22 / 01 / 2019

Samira 29 / 10 / 2018

Okay. Nothing Central heating

Verified 18 / 01 / 2018

Very good. Bed sheets wasn't clean. No coffee maker or fridge in the room.

Verified 16 / 01 / 2018

Very good. Staff was good, room was ok I have never seen a hotel requring a $100 deposit at checkin. I understand requiring credit card for incidental but a deposit is unheard of.

Anonymous 22 / 10 / 2018

Rooms are large and comfortable. Be prepared for the staff to ruin it for you. Bed was comfy. Room was a good large size. Staff. I knew it was going to be a bad stay when the greeting by the guy on reception started off with him being rude. Also, if you are on the first floor, be prepared to be woken up really early by the reception staff being noisy. Shower was terrible

Yuen 27 / 12 / 2018

Good value for the money.

Michael 20 / 12 / 2018

December Short Break.

Declan 21 / 10 / 2018

Lovely hotel across the river. Lovely room and staff to go with it. Right next to subway with a 5min walk. Would prob stay again but not pay for city view (which you can't really see) Overflowing bins in reception on 2 days. Noise in the evening from taffic on the street due to construction in the area cars beeping horns Manhattan Skyline view is a little misleading (you see a very small part and pay $20 extra for it)

Verified 13 / 01 / 2018

Acceptable. Location There was only one outlet hidden beneath the bed in my room. The room was tiny and not what I expected for a 3.5 star hotel. Zero amenities provided. Bare essentials only. For $-- a night it was worth it only because that is a very low price for NYC.

Verified 13 / 01 / 2018

Acceptable. Close to train The staff was extremely unaccommodating.

Anonymous 20 / 10 / 2018

Will stay in again!. Great room, comfortable beds, nice balcony. Nice big hot shower good water pressure over all great stay Nothing its was great!

carol 19 / 12 / 2018

We Enjoyed our stay,.

Sarah 15 / 12 / 2018

Awesome location and price.

Anonymous 20 / 10 / 2018

Good. Neat and clean atmosphere all around the hotel. Behavior of male staff in the morning shift is rude, even when I ask my 100 dollars, he in a very rude way told me just wait I can’t return your money without checking the room, all the conversation can be in a good tone.

Verified 09 / 01 / 2018

Acceptable. Not much. 30 minutes to check in, very little parking in area, front desk staff cursed and yelled at his staff in front of my son, first room we were given looked like a well-worn college dorm room. I asked to switch rooms, which was a bit better, but not by much.

Verified 06 / 01 / 2018
